  • April 8, 2022: Phase 2 Results

Eduardo Uchoa announced the results of Phase 2 for the CVRP track during the awards ceremony at the Implementation Challenge workshop. You can watch the announcement on YouTube.

Note that, in addition to the main sheet containing results for all 100 Phase 2 instances, there are sheets containing results on different subsets of the instances based on different properties, such as instance size, route length, or distribution of customer locations.

We thank João Marcos Silva for compiling and analyzing these results.

 

  • February 22, 2022: Invitations to present at the workshop were sent to the eight Phase 2 competitors.
  • February 9, 2022: New best-known solutions were posted for five of the problems in CVRPLib by team AILS-II. Team Vavavuma! posted a new BKS for the problem Golden_12.
  • February 8, 2022: Teams were given access to DIMACS machines to install their solvers for Phase 2 testing.
  • January 23, 2022: Phase 1 Results

Based on their performance in Phase 1, eight teams are invited to participate in Phase 2 testing. The table below provides a summary of the performance of these eight teams in Phase 1.

Note that, in addition to the main sheet containing results for all 141 instances, there are sheets containing results on different subsets of the instances. These include the X instances (100), the very large instances from Belgium (10), Golden instances (12), other classic instances (7), and the new DIMACS Challenge instances (12) from Loggi and ORTEC. You can access these using the tabs at the bottom of the sheet.

  • December 21, 2021: Eduardo Uchoa emailed all registered teams with instructions for use of the script generators to perform Phase 1 runs with the Controller.
  • December 20, 2021: List of registered machines was finalized and posted. See the list at the top of the page. The PassMark CPU marks listed are the values that must be used in the scripts for runs on the corresponding machine.
  • December 16, 2021: New best-known solutions were posted for six of the problems in CVRPLib by team Vavavuma! These and other current best known solutions will be used in the running scripts to compute the primal integral by the Controller in the competition. (These values will be retained throughout the competition, even if new BKSs are found.)
  • December 15, 2021: List of registered teams/solvers was finalized and posted. See list at the top of the page. Team leaders were contacted and welcomed to the competition.
